2016 celeb Renee Ainslie-Rodriguez
Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Renée is a beach girl at heart. Before deciding to settle back in her hometown, she spent six years in Southwest Virginia where she received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration from Virginia Tech, both with an emphasis in Marketing Management. The year between obtaining her two degrees she lived in New York City working with the public relations and marketing firm BPCM where she had the added privilege of working the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. After grad school, Renée then took the opportunity to travel across the country visiting numerous markets in the United States, and also several in Europe, before deciding to relocate back to her hometown to put her marketing background to work. She accepted the offer as Marketing and Public Relations Manager for a new start-up company to set-up their turn-key marketing department. And after seeing that project completely through and the company’s plan successfully take-off, Renée and dear friend Peyton Tata both yearned to further utilize their combined professional marketing skills, experience and educations thus joining forces to form their own firm — And One Marketing.
when Renée is not throwing herself into her work, you can find her either running on the boardwalk, often for a charity, or just soaking up the sun and enjoying time with friends and family. And Virginia Tech’s motto of “Ut Prosim” (That I May Serve) came easily to Renée as she grew up learning from her parents the importance of community involvement and giving back. Renée serves on the board of Generation MOCA and is a member if Virginia Beach Jaycees, and has worked voluntarily on various marketing and fund-raising projects from Cancer Research, animal adoption shelters, to Congressional political campaigns. Since Renée has always loved to dance and volunteer, she jumped at the challenge of learning ballroom dancing while also serving to benefit the local arts in our community. Renee would like to thank her sponsors, Bay Mechanical and AND ONE Marketing.
